Uzbekistan and the French Development Agency discussed promising projects in energy, water supply and infrastructure
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On October 16, at the Ministry of Investment, Industry and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Minister Laziz Kudratov met with Amelie Aubert, regional director for Central and East Asia and director for China of the French Development Agency.
During the negotiations, the parties discussed current cooperation and promising projects in the fields of energy, water supply, infrastructure and ecology. Particular attention was paid to issues of sustainable development, implementation of modern technologies and increasing the efficiency of ongoing initiatives.
According to Amelie Aubert, over the years the agency has financed 13 major projects worth more than 1.6 billion euros. Uzbekistan is one of the twenty largest partners of the French Development Agency and is one of the priority countries for cooperation.
Following the meeting, the parties confirmed their intention to deepen the partnership and implement joint projects of strategic importance for the Republic of Uzbekistan.
