Uzbekistan and K-Water discussed the development of water economy and the introduction of digital technologies

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (Uzdaily.uz)-under the leadership of the Deputy Minister of Construction and Housing and Communal Services of Ozoda Zhuraeva, a meeting was held with the director of the Department of Global Cooperation of the South Korean company K-Water Jonden Cho.

“K-Water” is a leading organization in the field of water resource management, which has rich experience in the construction of reservoirs and channels, providing the population with drinking water, the use of rainwater, conducting research and training personnel.

During the negotiations, it was noted that in recent years, reforms in the water supply and sewage system have been actively carried out in recent years, the coverage of the population is expanding, and international cooperation plays a key role in solving urgent problems.

Among the main areas of interaction, an increase in personnel potential was highlighted by introducing educational programs based on the Institute for the Development of Competence using the experience of the K-Water Academy, the introduction of digital technologies to reduce water loss and establish effective control, as well as the accession of Uzbekistan to the Asian Water Council, where K-Water occupies active positions.

“Undoubtedly, thanks to cooperation with K-Water, we will be able to bring the industry to a new level and ensure the satisfaction of the population,” said Ozoda Zhuraev.

The parties also discussed the possibility of exchanging documents and preparing a memorandum to expand partnerships and exchange knowledge and experience.
