Subsidies for water-saving technologies will be introduced in Uzbekistan
The Government of Uzbekistan has approved a regulation regulating the procedure for compensating part of the costs of agricultural producers when introducing water-saving irrigation technologies.
According to the document, subsidies will be provided from the State budget for each implemented technology on a separate circuit only once, regardless of the type of agricultural product and the type of system used.
To receive a subsidy, producers are required to enter information about sown areas by contours and types of products into the Agroportal system. An application for receiving payments is submitted exclusively in electronic form through this portal.
The application must be accompanied by a copy of the contract with the contractor included in the Tomchi-reestr, design documentation and the work completion certificate, as well as data on the circuits where the technologies were implemented, with an exact indication of their location.
It is separately provided that in the case of technology implementation at its own expense, the manufacturer may be paid in advance 50% of the subsidy amount based on established calculations.
The new measure is aimed at stimulating the implementation of water-saving solutions in agriculture and increasing the efficiency of water resource use.
